Anthony Chijioke Lebechi
Anthony Chijioke Lebechi is a Solicitor, an Advocate, an Arbitrator and a Mediator, called to the Nigerian Bar in 1990. He obtained both an LLB and an LLM from the Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife. He also holds International Diploma in Competition Law from The College of Law, England and Wales. He is a member of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators, (UK) (MCiarb), the Nigerian Bar Association, (NBA, Section on Business Law, SBL), International Bar Association (IBA), Nigerian Chamber of Shipping, Institute of Chartered Mediators and Conciliators (ICMC). He has been a presence, by way of attendance, speaking and presenting papers, in the development of many areas of law in Nigeria. He spoke at an event to mark the 2018 United Nations Educational Scientific and Cultural Organisation (UNESCO) World Book and Copyright Day. He presented a paper at NBA Bar Seminar in Port Harcourt, Rivers State branch on “Tackling Litigation Under The Communications Act, 2003.
Chiji was a Partner at Meribe, Lebechi and Okigbo from 1992-2000. From here he went to work briefly with the Law Firm of Nwakamma-Okoro (SAN) & Associates. He was a Researcher and Consultant at Law Research Initiatives (LRI). He has worked in various other legal establishments, been involved in numerous legal workshops, seminars and programs from which he has garnered a wealth of knowledge and experience. He is a Senior Partner at Barnville Solicitors and Advocates.
Chinwe O. Okigbo
Chinwe O. Okigbo is a graduate of law from the University of Buckingham, Buckinghamshire in England where she obtained a law degree in 1988 after her Bachelor of Science degree in Sociology and Anthropology from the University of Nigeria, Nsukka in Enugu State. Called to the Nigerian Bar in 1990, Chinwe had a brief stint in the law chambers of FRA Williams.
Chinwe served in several senior level positions in the corporate sector as a legal officer. She was a partner at Meribe, Lebechi and Okigbo from 1992-2000 and Senior Partner Barnville Solicitors from 2001 till date. In 2014, she was appointed a member of the Adhoc Committee of the Lagos State Law Reform Commission charged with the development of the Laws of Lagos State. This Committee was responsible for putting together the present reformed Laws of Lagos State.
Chinwe is presently a member of the Technical Committee of the National Assembly Business Environment (NASSBER) Roundtable.
Ikechukwu C. Ifediora
Ikechukwu C. Ifediora graduated from the University of Nigeria Enugu Campus in 1990 and was admitted to practice law in Nigeria in December 1991. His early professional practice experience was garnered as Head of chambers at Fidelis Nwadialo (SAN) & Co (former Director of Public Prosecution of the Federation).
Subsequent to this, he was Company Secretary and Legal Adviser to Oilserv Limited, a Port Harcourt based Oil Service Company between 2008-2010.
Ikechukwu’s extensive experience in litigation and dispute resolution matters is an asset to the firm’s litigation portfolio. He is a member of the Nigerian Bar Association and an Associate of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators of Nigeria.
Onyinye Aligasim
Onyinye Aligasim holds a Bachelor of Laws from the Abia State University, was admitted to the Nigerian Bar Association in 1999 and holds a Masters in Law from the University of Lagos. Onyinye has garnered a wealth of experience in corporate governance, regulatory and statutory compliance, company secretarial and legal functions working in the legal services and company secretarial divisions of Fidelity Bank. She functioned as legal officer and Team Lead for the Company Secretarial Division of the Bank.
She went on from there to serve as Head of Legal Services and Corporate Communications for Fidelity Pension Managers Limited until March 2018. In addition, she functioned as Company Secretary to some of the Bank’s erstwhile non-banking subsidiaries prior to the divestment directive of the Central Bank of Nigeria.
Onyinye is a member of the Nigerian Bar Association, the International Federation of Wonen Lawyers and the Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators Nigeria.
